Our Leadership
Sam Millspaw
Founder & Principal Engineer

Sam Millspaw founded Millspaw Electronics in 2019 with a vision to provide high-quality, reliable solutions for obsolete and custom electronics—particularly in the nuclear industry. He began his career as a Procurement Engineer at Bechtel, supporting the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program, where he developed a deep understanding of rigorous quality and regulatory requirements.
He went to work for ATC (now part of Paragon Energy Solutions) and served as Lead Repair Engineer, where he specialized in component repair and reverse engineering for safety-critical systems. Sam’s background spans the commercial, medical, and nuclear sectors, giving him a broad perspective and practical experience that guides Millspaw Electronics today.
As an engineer-led company, Millspaw Electronics reflects Sam’s commitment to technical excellence, transparent communication, and delivering dependable solutions for the most demanding environments.
Stephen Hayes
Senior Engineer

Stephen Hayes joined Millspaw Electronics in 2022 and serves as the company’s Senior Engineer, bringing a strong background in nuclear instrumentation and controls (I&C), industrial product development, and reverse engineering.
Prior to joining Millspaw, Stephen worked at Paragon Energy Solutions, where he gained hands-on experience supporting nuclear I&C systems. He also spent six years in the industrial sector, focusing on product development and control systems—skills that now inform his approach to designing reliable, custom-engineered solutions for legacy systems.
At Millspaw Electronics, Stephen leads product design and reverse engineering initiatives while also providing technical oversight under the company’s NQA-1, 10CFR50 Appendix B quality assurance program. His leadership ensures that all engineering work meets the highest standards of performance, traceability, and regulatory compliance.
Leigh Skorupskas
Vice President

Leigh Skorupskas joined Millspaw Electronics in 2023 and quickly became an integral part of the leadership team. With a diverse background and a sharp strategic focus, Leigh played a key role in building and implementing the company’s NQA-1, 10CFR50 Appendix B quality assurance program—laying a strong foundation for Millspaw’s continued success in the nuclear sector.
Her role has since expanded to encompass business development, operations, and long-term growth strategy. Leigh brings a unique perspective that complements the company’s engineering leadership, helping bridge technical execution with customer engagement and strategic planning. Her ability to wear many hats ensures Millspaw Electronics stays agile, client-focused, and well-positioned for continued growth.
